DESCRIPTION

This small form factor from HP packs in all any business will need into a small chasis.  All come with Intel Core 2 Dual Core Processors, at least a gig of ram and Windows XP or Vista.

Tool-less entry makes it easy to get into the machine.

Due to the size full size expansion cards will not fit, you will need half height with the correct back plate.

HP Compaq dc5800 SFF

The machine just does not look small when compared to the DC7800 and it gains a slightly flimsy plastics on the front of the case.  The machine is fast to fire up but you will need to wait for Windows to install the HP gear, it actually failed on the WINDVD install on three different machines.  If you do have this problem kill off the WINDVD install otherwise the HP Recovery software won't resize your hard drive from the original 40 gig partiton to the whole drive!

These machines are very quiet and very easy to get into, but getting the top back on can be rather annoying as it doesn;t always snap back into place properly.  It comes with an inbuilt speaker, front speaker and microphone ports, 2 front USB's.

Pros:
Looks well built
Well Specified
Quiet

Cons:
Its just not a Small Form Factor
Issues when you first fire it up
No Full Expansion Slots
Flimsy plastics on the front
